Cookies

In short
Gov Funding Radar uses no advertising cookie, no audience measurement tool and no social network cookie. In its current, entirely free version, the site sets no cookie at all. A single, strictly necessary technical cookie is planned for alerts, which are not open yet. That is why no consent banner is shown.
Cookies used
| Name | What it does | Lifetime | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
gfr_demo | Not used yet: once alerts open, it will remember your choices (followed calls, followed searches). It will contain no name or e-mail address. | 30 days | Strictly necessary, set by the site itself |
The language is part of the page address (/fr/ or /en/): no cookie is needed to remember it.
When Premium accounts open, a strictly necessary session cookie, used only to keep you signed in, will be added to this table before it goes live.
Why no consent is asked
The law requires prior consent for cookies, except those strictly necessary for a service you request (article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC, transposed in Belgium by article 10/2 of the law of 30 July 2018). The gfr_demo cookie falls within this exemption: it only makes work what you use on the site.
Payment page
Paying for a subscription happens on a page run by the payment provider. It may set its own cookies there, in particular to prevent fraud, under its own policy.
Deleting or blocking cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. The site still works; only your saved choices (followed calls and searches) will be lost.
