In short
- No advertising, no audience measurement tool, no sale of data.
- We only process what the service needs: today, the server's technical logs and the messages you send us. Later, your e-mail address if you create an alert or a subscription (not open yet), your alert preferences and billing data.
- No cookie today; a single technical cookie planned for alerts, described on the Cookies page.
- You can view, correct or delete your data at any time.

Who receives your data
- The site host (OVHcloud, see the legal notice), as a processor.
- Forward Email, as a processor, which forwards messages sent to contact@govfundingradar.com to our mailbox.
- The payment provider, to collect the subscription and prevent fraud. It also acts under its own privacy policy for its legal obligations. Its name is given here before paid subscriptions open.
- The e-mail delivery provider, as a processor, only to send you alerts. Its name is given here before e-mail alerts are switched on.
- Substack, if you subscribe to the newsletter: sign-up happens on Substack, which applies its own privacy policy.
We do not sell or rent your data. We only disclose it to an authority when the law requires it.
Transfers outside the European Union
The servers are located in Canada. Canada benefits from a European Commission adequacy decision (Decision 2002/2/EC, confirmed in the January 2024 review): your data is protected there at a level equivalent to the EU.
If the payment provider, the e-mail provider, Forward Email or Substack process data outside the EU, they do so under an adequacy decision (for example the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or the Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Automated decisions and security
No decision with legal effects is made about you automatically. Sorting calls by your filters is only a display.
The site is served over HTTPS, server access is restricted and we collect as little data as possible.
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct, erase or port your data, to restrict processing, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to contact@govfundingradar.com. We reply within one month, extendable by two months for a complex request. If we have doubts about your identity, we may ask you to confirm it.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (APD/GBA), rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, Belgium, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
Changes
This page may change, for example when Premium accounts open. The update date is shown at the top of the page. Subscribers are told by e-mail about any important change.
